Job Description

Data Migration Specialist, SAP

Smarthis

• Lead and support data migration activities in SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, and transformation projects; • Analyze, cleanse, validate, and prepare master and transactional data for migration; • Define data requirements, mapping rules, and migration strategies together with business stakeholders and technical teams; • Develop and execute data extraction, transformation, validation, and load (ETL) processes; • Perform data quality analyses, proposing and executing corrective actions; • Participate in testing cycles (mock load, integration, and UAT), and support cutover and go-live planning; • Prepare and maintain migration documentation, mapping specifications, and reconciliation reports; • Investigate and resolve inconsistencies and issues related to data migration; • Support the definition and evolution of master data standards and governance practices; • Monitor migration metrics, reporting status, risks, and deviations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • Strong experience (5+ years) in SAP data migration, data governance, or master data management;
  • Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA projects (implementation, rollout, or transformation);
  • Knowledge of SAP data objects (Finance, Material Master, Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, BOM, Routing, etc.);
  • Experience with SAP modules such as MM, PP, EWM, SD or related processes;
  • Knowledge of migration methodologies, data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation;
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power Query, Power BI, or similar);
  • Advanced English for communication (written and spoken);
  • Analytical profile, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Nice to have:
  • SAP certifications (especially SAP MDG or functional module certifications);
  • Experience with SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) and SAP Data Services (BODS);
  • Knowledge of SAP architecture (Public Cloud / Activation);
  • Experience in large-scale global projects and cutover activities;
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and MDM;
  • Experience with SQL and advanced data analysis techniques;
  • Experience in global environments and working with multidisciplinary teams.
