Job Description

Epic Systems Analyst – Beaker

Highmark Health

• Plans, designs/builds, tests, implements, and supports the needs of Beaker Epic software • Analyzes and determines system requirements and specifications • Supports and maintains environments or applications using domain knowledge • Configures changes within the Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows • Conducts problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve routine to moderately complex problems • Consistently contributes to and manages portions of projects within the assigned area • Independently initiates process improvement • Works with clinical, business, and technical resources in a positive, supportive, and collaborative manner • Creates and maintains documentation and training materials regarding the implementation of applications

Job Requirements

  • 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules
  • Experience with Epic Beaker preferred
  • 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Uses critical thinking skills for assigned tasks
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills in managing priorities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of project management principles as they relate to assigned tasks
  • Epic Application Certification within 6 months required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or relevant experience preferred.
