Role Description The Electrical Engineer will support solar and renewable energy projects by developing and reviewing electrical and solar system designs using Rated Power and AutoCAD. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. - 5+ years’ experience in electrical design, preferably within solar or renewable energy projects. - Experience in the Australian or New Zealand energy markets, with an understanding of local standards, codes, and consenting processes. - Experience performing PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis for solar PV projects advantageous. - Proficiency in Rated Power for solar system modelling and AutoCAD for design drafting. - Knowledge of electrical design standards, grid connection requirements, and HV/LV system layouts. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance design efficiency and cost. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality design documentation. - Experience with large-scale or utility solar farms in Australia or New Zealand. - Familiarity with PV system optimisation, grid compliance, and inverter design principles. - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a project team. - Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure development is desirable. Role Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team and support our US-based construction clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical estimates, supporting the full pre-construction process, and working seamlessly within client teams. - Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates for commercial projects ranging from $500k to $5 million - Support the full pre-construction process, including estimate preparation, bid package assembly, and RFI submittals - Contact subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and build reliable supplier relationships - Perform estimate leveling and cost analysis to ensure competitive bids - Work directly within client systems and workflows to maintain seamless integration - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all estimating activities and project data - Collaborate with client teams to refine processes and improve accuracy over time - Provide support across pre-construction tasks beyond estimating as needed - Ensure all work meets client specifications and quality standards Qualifications - 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a similar estimating role - Proven track record of preparing accurate electrical estimates for commercial projects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Experience working with estimating software and CRM systems - Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with US-based teams - Civil Engineering or Architecture degree (or equivalent experience) - Experience working with US construction clients Requirements - Experience with commercial electrical projects (condos, hospitals, large-scale developments) - Familiarity with industry-standard estimating tools and software - Experience with bid management and preconstruction processes - Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination Benefits - Full-Time, Remote position - Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00am - 5:00pm CST - Compensation: USD $2,500 - $3,500/month
