Role Description Trellix is seeking a SLED & Healthcare Account Executive to drive the adoption of our industry-leading cybersecurity portfolio across critical public infrastructure, educational institutions, and healthcare networks. In this high-impact role, you will navigate complex public sector procurement vehicles and strict regulatory environments (such as HIPAA, CJIS, and FERPA) to secure vital data and systems. By building trusted, C-level relationships and leveraging our channel ecosystem, you will accelerate territory growth, maximize revenue, and protect the organizations that serve our communities. Key Responsibilities - Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue quotas across software, SaaS, and professional services. - Territory & Account Management: Grow established SLED and Healthcare accounts, maximizing short-term wins while building a sustainable long-term pipeline through rigorous territory planning. - Executive Engagement: Partner with Sales Engineering to pitch, strategize, and close complex security deals at the C-level (CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and state/local directors). - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside internal teams and channel partners to identify new opportunities outside your primary portfolio and ensure seamless, high-touch customer support. - Strategic Selling: Lead sales presentations, virtual and in-person product demonstrations, and structured on-site evaluations to show how Trellix solutions map to specific institutional needs. - Deal Architecture: Navigate public sector purchasing vehicles (e.g., NASPO, GSA, state contracts) and healthcare buying groups to accelerate the sales cycle. Qualifications - Industry Expertise: Proven track record of selling security-focused software, cloud solutions, and professional services to SLED entities and/or major Healthcare networks. - Public Sector & Health IQ: Understanding of the unique challenges of these verticals, including strict regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CJIS, FERPA), budget cycles, and grant funding mechanisms. - Trusted Advisor: Existing, high-level relationships within the territory and comfort navigating the multi-layered decision-making processes inherent in government and hospital systems. - Technical Aptitude: Strong foundational knowledge of networking topologies, cloud security, and the evolving threat landscape facing critical infrastructure. - Collaborative Closer: Thrive in a multi-tiered, multi-divisional sales environment and know how to leverage internal resources (such as inside sales and channel partners) to scale efforts. - Experience: 10+ years of combined high-technology or information security sales experience, with a significant focus on public sector or healthcare verticals. Requirements - This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis. - The Base Pay Range is $135,000 - $160,000. - The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $175,000 – $320,000. - Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. - Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. • Work with the assigned Customer Service (CS) team to create and implement unique customer strategies that will promote business development opportunities and support business objectives. • Gather competitor cross reference information at customer sites and update tracking sheets. • Review report provided by Analyst team for Kinetik, Alternate and SVP opportunities at customer sites. Review strategy with Team during team strategy meetings and plan items for approvals at customer site visit/meeting. • Provide market Intel on business development opportunities to the assigned Customer Service Manager (CSM) and Territory Sales Rep Manager (TSM). • Plan, collaborate and meet regularly with the CSM/TSM to establish and maintain an effective customer strategy and visiting schedules, with analytics/recommendations from Analyst, ensuring updated travel logs and calendars. Develop deliverables for customer site visit/meeting to team and review to ensure all agenda items are covered. • Set up and conduct a pre-visit call/meeting with the assigned CS team to review any open issues, final expectations, deliverables worksheet for presentation on Customer visits.
