Sales Account Manager

• Responsible for development, planning and implementation of sales initiatives • Increase core volume and margins for assigned customers in the U.S. and Canada by developing and implementing strategies and sales plans • Lead strategy for global customers headquartered in the U.S. or Canada • Manage collaboration with global colleagues for interregional relationships • Meet customers' needs by understanding their application and industry • Develop a robust pipeline of potential customers and decision makers • Manage prospective customers in the NA region, screening sample and technology requests • Contribute to commercial excellence initiatives with accurate sales forecasts and value-based pricing
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or Marketing
- 4+ years’ technical or commercial experience in the field/relevant industry; OR Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or Marketing with 2 years’ technical or commercial experience in the field/relevant industry
- Production & application processing knowledge
- Familiarity with engineered thermoplastics industry and technology
- Development of relationships with customers and distributors at all levels
- Advanced understanding of sales techniques and knowledge of assigned products, markets and customer base
- Good organizational and planning skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Good analytical and business process skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, contract negotiation, pricing implementation
- Moderate to advanced problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
