Inside Sales Representative
HOYA Surgical Optics
• Responsible for achieving sales objectives and growing sales volume for Hoya, Seiko and Vision Ease portfolio of products and services through prospecting, generating leads, and servicing a pre-existing small to mid-size retail & wholesale account base • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both customers and prospects • Execute high-impact persuasive conversations with decision-makers to achieve growth requirements • Develop sales strategies by account, based upon potential incremental business, and execute to meet/exceed established sales goals and objectives • Complete all sales training opportunities as designed by HOYA • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner and use the opportunity to build stronger relationships • Support national marketing campaigns and collateral efforts • Establish a positive working relationship with colleagues
Job Requirements
- Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desired
- Very strong written & verbal communication skills, including persuasion and sales presentations
- Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Excellent follow up skills
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge and skill on PC to operate PC based analytical equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SalesForce.com
- Work without constant supervision
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time

- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, and update all competitive knowledge within the CRM system (SalesForce.com)
- Increase customer base through prospect calling, lead management, referrals, and supporting account expansion
- Understand and negotiate pricing within our pricing structure, and abide by the pricing guidelines set by HOYA
- Execute high-quality calls to prospects in order to secure new accounts. Prospecting will make up approximately 40% of the job requirement. The remaining 60% is managing currently active accounts.
