Director, Product Design

Fanatics, Inc.

• Define and evolve the UX vision, principles, and standards for Core Product. • Translate business strategy and user insights into clear UX direction and roadmaps. • Champion user-centered design and accessibility best practices at all levels of the organization. • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Designers • Establish clear roles, career paths, and performance expectations. • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. • Oversee end-to-end UX processes including research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and design delivery. • Review and provide feedback on key design initiatives and deliverables. • Balance user needs with business objectives, technical constraints, and timelines. • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions. • Advocate for testing, validation, and iteration throughout the product lifecycle. • Ensure design consistency, quality, and scalability through design systems and governance. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Customer teams. • Influence product strategy by grounding decisions in user research and usability insights.

Job Requirements

  • 10 plus years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design.
  • 5 plus years of experience leading and managing design teams.
  • Proven ability to define and scale UX strategy in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and business impact.
  • Deep understanding of UX research methods, design systems, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in consumer apps
  • Background collaborating with global or distributed teams.
  • Experience influencing executive leadership and driving organizational change.
