Role Description Bowman has an opportunity for an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to join our team remotely in San Diego, CA. Assist with application of administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to assigned mechanical design projects to ensure their successful and timely completion within the allocated budget. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation. - Assist with monitoring and management of work-in-process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts. - Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables. - Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries. - Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings. - Assist team leader in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients. - Liaise with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on projects. - Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget. - Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects. - Apply foundational knowledge of engineering principles and procedures. - Help review designs through project construction/completion. - Conduct field observations visits to accurately document the existing field conditions. - Organize/prioritize multiple tasks to complete the design in a sequential efficient manner. - Accurately produce the project construction documents to meet milestone schedules within a predetermined hourly budget. - Attend coordination and design meetings, as needed. - Define and determine project specifications and budget construction cost estimating. - Address comments from clients, AHJ's & other review authorities; adjust designs accordingly. - If directed, review all project related construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFI's, change order proposals). - Work within established project budgets. - Possess and continue to develop a working knowledge of all codes applicable to the discipline. - Possess and continue to develop a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software. Role Description The Construction Project Manager is part of our Building Solutions North America business at Johnson Controls. Lead large, complex, multi-million dollar Controls construction projects throughout the U.S. This is a U.S. Based Remote position.
