Role Description As a Custom Jewelry Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of our one-on-one, specialized, and custom design experience and service. You'll work with customers from initial request all the way to a fully designed one-of-a-kind piece, coordinating with our designers, gem experts, and production specialists to help design and create their dream ring. In this role, you'll be evaluated primarily on your ability to: - Connect with customers - Coordinate design and gem selection - Effectively execute the customer's design vision A typical day would include: - Building and maintaining customer relationships: - Work closely with new and existing customers through online messaging. - Manage ongoing relationships with existing customers and support on their future projects. - Sharing design and material expertise: - Understand key customer preferences to bring their design ideas to life. - Make thoughtful design and material recommendations that align with the customer's priorities. - Coordinate with our technical teams to successfully translate the customer's vision into a manufacturable design. - Present concept sketches and 3D renderings to customers, answering questions and receiving feedback for subsequent revisions. - Communicate design revisions to our CAD designers and concept sketch artists. - Share and discuss diamond or gem options. - Managing the overall success of your projects: - Approach each project individually to make the design and development process fun and easy for the customer based on their needs and working style. - Create and present quotes for customers that fit their budget and design requirements. - Plan and manage project timelines with consideration of sketch, CAD, and manufacturing to ensure deadlines are met. - Handle all post-production related correspondence, including resizing, repairs, maintenance, and customer satisfaction. - Contributing to internal development: - Review communication techniques, technical guidance, and project strategy feedback with your manager. - Experiment with new approaches and resources with the guidance of your manager. - Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other Project Managers and cross-functional partners. We are open to in-office candidates (Cambridge, MA) and remote candidates. Our business is fully online, so no in-office presence is required. Qualifications - Excellent written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly with personality through written text. - Client-facing experience in sales, hospitality, luxury retail, or account management. - A passion for jewelry and design and an interest in the creative development process. - Discerning visual taste. - Resourcefulness - the ability to make good decisions in the absence of perfect information. Requirements - A track record of achieving strong sales results (preferred but not required). - Experience in fine jewelry sales (preferred but not required). - Technical experience as a jewelry designer, bench jeweler, or artist (preferred but not required). - Graduate Gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work (preferred but not required). - Bachelor's degree from a competitive college/university (preferred but not required). Benefits - Competitive base compensation + added commission. - $65,000- $68,000/yr total on-target earnings. - $45,000/yr base compensation + commission of 4.5% of sales. - This is a full-time role with full benefits (health, vision, dental). - 401k match. - Employee jewelry discount. - Holidays and paid time off. - Standard business hours, Monday-Friday schedule.

Role Description As a Custom Jewelry Gem Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our gem sourcing process, in charge of finding the perfect stone for each customer. You'll be our behind-the-scenes expert, assisting our customer-facing teams with all things related to gems. In this role, you'll be evaluated primarily on your ability to select stones that fit the customer's budget & preferences while meeting our high-quality standard. You'll need to utilize gem knowledge, creative thinking, and independent decision-making in order to select the best stones for each customer. You'll be our internal gem expert and expected to educate other team members, answer customer questions/concerns, and handle any issues that relate to our stones. - Select the perfect center stone: - Use your gem expertise, knowledge of our supplier network, and critical thinking skills to select stone options for our Project Managers to present to the customer. - Provide gem guidance to our Project Managers and customers. - Troubleshoot any quality issues that may arise. - Facilitate gem procurement: - Coordinate with suppliers & our in-office team to order, deliver, and store stones. - Troubleshoot any issues that arise due to delays or out-of-stock items. - Place additional orders for stones that break in setting, etc. - Maintain strong supplier relationships: - Partner with our gem suppliers in a positive & respectful way. - Ensure all invoices are queued for payment, and answer any invoicing questions. - As needed activities: - Review our gem estimates & pricing to ensure it is accurate and cost competitive. - Identify new gem suppliers to partner with. - Purchase new inventory. - Troubleshoot any customer gem concerns. - Update our internal guidance based on project experience. This is a remote role. Qualifications - Excellent written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly. - Excellent organization skills, and attention to detail. - Jewelry experience. - Resourcefulness - the ability to make good decisions in the absence of perfect information. - Graduate Gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work (preferred but not required). - Project management experience (preferred but not required). - Experience in gem sourcing (preferred but not required). - Customer experience skills (preferred but not required). - Bachelor's degree from a competitive college/university (preferred but not required).
