Role Description Product Platform Engineering builds and unifies the foundational systems Block engineers use to create, ship, and operate products. We work across platform domains such as deployment systems, event streaming, databases, workflows, and the operational systems that keep Block moving. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is broad, curious, and energized by solving platform problems that cut across teams. You will help design and build the next generation of Block's internal platforms, improve the systems engineers depend on every day, and use AI as a native part of how you explore, build, test, and learn. Role Description We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our internal AI platform and orchestration components, helping us accelerate the deployment of intelligent Agents and RAG pipelines across the organization. You will own the core infrastructure and SDKs that bridge the gap between raw LLM capabilities and production-grade applications, turning complex AI research and data into seamless, scalable tools for our engineering teams. Role Description The Platform Security team is responsible for securing Block's cloud, compute, and network infrastructure across multiple business units including Square, Cash, and Afterpay. - Discover, track, and enable the business to remediate the most critical security risks across Block's cloud ecosystems (AWS and GCP). - Drive the creation of cloud security policy and best practices. - Measure and aggregate deviations from these policies. - Develop capabilities to estimate security risk based on cloud signals and business context. - Help execute the vision that the secure option should be the easiest option for users. We're looking for a strong Senior Platform Security Engineer with a deep understanding of securing cloud infrastructure and services at scale.
