As part of the marketing team, the Product Manager - CYME Software will lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of power system analysis applications within Eaton’s CYME marketing team. This role is responsible for capturing the voice of the customer, defining product roadmaps, launching new offerings, and supporting training, pricing, and marketing initiatives. The Product Manager - CYME Software collaborates closely with customers, sales, engineering, and other product managers to drive innovation and achieve growth and profitability targets. The expected annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: - Support PLM with strategic planning process for the product line, including the alignment with the sales, engineering, finance and operations function. - Profit and loss accountability for the CYME Software offering to meet revenue and margin objectives. - Understand the market trends and competitive landscape while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the product applications. - Provide strategic marketing direction for new features and/or module development (e.g. modeling capability, analysis functions, productivity tools, etc.) informed by customers’ needs and competitors’ positioning, and execute product launches. - Collaborate and partner with other product managers, product lines and/or companies/firms, to create marketing solutions and synergies for specific industries/segments/opportunities. - Provide leadership and drive for results of global alignment for product development, marketing initiatives, regional requirements, and segment specific execution. - Be a voice of the customer and setting appropriate expectations, goal weightings and targets with the other division functions and sales/channel organizations. - Report financial results and forecasts to key stakeholders. - Serve as the offering spokesperson in key customer interactions and negotiations with customers. - Work in conjunction with engineering on new product development and product upgrades. - Work closely with the proposal manager, PMO and engineering teams to proposals in the context of RFXs (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.). - Work closely with sales, channels and major accounts and ensure expertise on the way to bring the offering to market. - Communicate and present strategy and results to Senior Leadership. - Collaborate with PLM to develop, deploy and execute pricing strategy to meet revenue, share and profitability targets. - Work with marcom team to support the promotion of products; including traditional promotional materials as well as on-line and multimedia assets. - Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. - Minimum five (5) years background in CYME Power Engineering Software for grid planning, including capacity planning, distributed energy resources (DER) integration and regulatory compliance - Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in product management, technical sales, marketing, or engineering - Must be able to travel up to 20%, some international. - Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as a distribution planner within a utility company (ideally ten (10) years) - Deep understanding of electric utility industry, engineering practices and grid planning methods - Experience supporting sales / field teams and/or delivering presentations in a conference setting - Experience facilitating in-person meetings with clients - Ability to identify use cases and develop marketing requirements - Experience writing user stories, functional specifications, and presenting product roadmaps - Ability to synthesize disparate and complex information and simplify into effective presentations and recommendations to facilitate decision making with team/leaders - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills - Demonstrated ability to work within Agile frameworks - Knowledge of software development practices and processes - Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
