As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will operate as a highly autonomous problem solver, architecting solutions within a large, pre-existing ecosystem. You will focus on designing and developing new features, writing cutting-edge code, and continuously enhancing the performance and scalability of the product line in a design-first development environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deliver new features for a complex and evolving IoT platform. - Write high-quality, efficient, scalable, and reusable code. - Take ownership of work by writing unit tests and ensuring the reliability and performance of code. - Collaborate within a highly engaged, cross-functional development team. - Provide technical leadership through mentoring, coaching, and supporting fellow developers. - Contribute to architectural decisions, database optimization, and API design. - Partner with product managers to define, scope, and plan new features. - Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic technical initiatives. - Work with QA to ensure cohesive, high-quality, and user-centric solutions. - Actively participate in and help improve the agile development process. - Produce clear, detailed, and maintainable documentation. Required Qualifications Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. Experience: - 8+ years of professional development experience. - Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer working on complex, large-scale platforms. - Substantial experience with SQL. - Experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based architectures. - Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and business problems across diverse software architectures. Technical Skills: - Substantial experience with JavaScript and Node.js (Hapi.js/Express.js). - Front-end experience with React, including micro-frontend architecture. - Engineers with experience in C#, .NET, or Python are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate a willingness to transition into a JavaScript/Node.js-centric technology stack. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with NoSQL databases. - Experience with containerized application deployments, especially using Docker. - Experience with large-scale data systems. - Experience with message queueing architectures, particularly RabbitMQ. - Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), especially EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis. - Any IoT experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits The pay rate for this position is between $70.00/hour and $75.00/hour. The salary for conversion is between $130,000 and $150,000. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
