Role Description We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in crafting high-performing video advertisements that drive client success on various online platforms. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of video ad creation, from strategic planning and concept development to editing and optimization. - Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience. - Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications. - Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity. - Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film. - Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects to elevate production value. - Create rough and final cuts while maintaining high standards of quality control. - Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running across all deliverables. - Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process to ensure brand and narrative alignment. - Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency. - Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is a plus — but what truly matters is what you can build. A standout portfolio or equivalent hands-on experience is just as valued. - 3-5 years of experience in video editing and/or digital advertising, with a focus on video ads. - Proven track record of creating high-performing video ads for online platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok). - Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects). - Strong understanding of digital advertising metrics and analytics. - Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Prior experience in agencies/companies focused on online marketing preferred. - Strong time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to handle ad hoc tasks in a dynamic environment.
