Role Description We're looking for an experienced Plumbing Design Engineer to lead the design of engineering systems across a portfolio of luxury villas and boutique hotels worldwide. You will report to the MEP Design Manager and collaborate daily with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and client representatives to deliver technically precise, aesthetically integrated solutions. This role exists to ensure that every system we design meets the functional performance and experiential standards our properties demand. Location & Collaboration Format: This is a fully remote position. Utopia does not provide visa sponsorship or a relocation package for this position. Responsibilities - Design plumbing, drainage, supply, and distribution systems for luxury villas and boutique hotels, ensuring full compliance with local building codes and international standards. - Lead spatial coordination with architectural and structural models, proactively resolving clashes and protecting design intent from early stages through to technical completion. - Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD and BIM tools, directing BIM modellers to ensure accuracy and consistency across deliverables. - Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and engineers to integrate systems seamlessly without compromising spatial or aesthetic quality. - Perform load calculations and system sizing to ensure optimal performance across all project conditions. - Oversee equipment selection in alignment with project requirements, sustainability targets, and luxury standards. - Review and approve deliverables from third-party designers, consultants, and surveyors, maintaining design integrity throughout. - Contribute to value engineering discussions, balancing cost, quality, and performance without sacrificing the guest experience. Qualifications - Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Building Engineering with a focus on plumbing, drainage, pools, or storm drainage systems. - 5–10 years of engineering design experience within a design consultancy or general contractor environment. - Proven experience on low-rise residential and hospitality projects — private villas, boutique hotels, or resorts. - Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with multidisciplinary teams and client representatives. - Professional-level English, both written and verbal. - Self-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage deliverables independently in a remote setting. • Perform design and design oversight for power systems and components like turbine generator systems, steam condensers, steam/feedwater systems, and generator switch gear - from conceptual development through licensing, fabrication, construction, startup, and turnover. • Produce proposed conceptual design including basic layout information, draft process flow diagrams and conceptual single line diagrams. • Ensure effective coordination with the other engineering disciplines to maintain alignment on technical scope. • Advance designs rapidly in a dynamic environment, applying sound engineering judgment and calculated risk management. • Function to interface between partner organizations and major subcontractors. Will perform as the major interface for power equipment interfaces and reactor systems. • Lead general design coordination events such as Power Systems design reviews and in-person design workshops. • Promote a proactive nuclear safety culture across office and field-based activities. • Advocate for the Deep Fission company and its technology. • Participate in project planning (schedule and budgeting) and be prepared to commit to delivery against the project plan. • Coordinates, or prepare specifications, procurement documents and award recommendations. • Provides assistance to project and construction management for Electrical/I&C requirements, identifying issues as they arise during project execution.

• Project preparation of FTTX Networks from design through closeout • Design and implementation of OSP facilities • Quality Control FTTX and MDU Designs • Development of construction and cost estimates primarily for the outside plant • Ensure that all FTTH designs fall within predetermined parameters

• Perform design and cost estimates for new-build and over-build of Clearwave Fiber's OSP facilities. • Utilize GIS-based field and drafting tools for field operations such as taking field notes and drafting. • Submit permits and obtain financial approval on given projects. • Support senior engineers in planning and managing schedules, and identify resource gaps. • Develop overall OSP system design for new developments and over-builds. • Prepare cost estimates, manage project financials, and perform financial true-ups. • Maintain detailed assignment documents of fiber projects and communicate with Facility Engineers. • Evaluate new OSP products and designs for implementation. • Assist in the preparation of the annual engineering budget. • Manage purchase orders and vendor invoices. • Initiate OSP work orders for construction. • Use CAD design software to produce fiber designs and bill of materials. • Forecast service demands to develop short, medium, and long-range plans. • Provide mapping technicians with updates on current new development land base. • Perform aerial plant engineering, including make ready and pole loading analysis. • Conduct engineering for OSP underground networks. • Prepare permits related to ROW, Railroad, and DOTs. • Perform QC work in the field. • Provide input on best practices, permit processes, construction methods, and telecom products. • Perform other related duties as assigned for effective departmental operations.
