Banking Relationship Manager

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio(100-200 clients) of licensed cannabis businesses, including cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and ancillary operators. • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular communication, account reviews, and strategic consultations. • Act as a trusted advisor, identifying client needs and recommending appropriate banking and payment solutions. • Manage client inquiries, escalations, and service requests while ensuring timely resolution. • Coordinate with internal teams including Compliance, Operations, Product, and Sales to deliver a high-quality client experience. • Conduct periodic business reviews to assess client satisfaction, operational changes, and opportunities for growth. • Ensure client activities align with applicable cannabis banking regulations, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies, Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, and state cannabis regulations. • Maintain awareness of evolving cannabis regulatory requirements and communicate relevant changes to clients. • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand adoption of Dama Financial products and services. • Support client retention initiatives and contribute to portfolio growth objectives. • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitive activity within the cannabis and financial services sectors. • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support business development efforts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in relationship management, commercial banking, financial services, account management, customer success, or B2B client services.
- Strong client relationship and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Experience using CRM platforms and business reporting tools.
