Role Description Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This position has a strong preference in the East or Central Region of the U.S. This position will be strategically based across the continental United States and supporting customers and field service engineers. This position supports positive customer experience through a proactive approach to project support and issue resolution. This position leverages centralized resources to manage documentation and resolve issues and builds relationships across customers and Eaton facilities to deliver a successful project. This position works independently on daily tasks and collaborates with the onsite field team. This position will also work closely with the project managers within our strategic accounts function. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Qualifications - Associate degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of degree at least two (2) years of Field Service experience. - Minimum of two (2) years of customer facing project coordination experience. - Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. - Associates degree in Engineering or other technical field (Preferred). - Minimum of two (2) years of Power Systems, Battery technologies and/or Electronics experience (coursework and internship experience apply) (Preferred). - Electrical industry expertise and product knowledge (Preferred). - Prior experience working with contractors and project coordination (Preferred). - Proficiency in applications required for job function (Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft O365) (Preferred). - Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) (Preferred). Requirements - Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers for assigned projects. - Initiate escalation calls with technical support to ensure timeline resolution. - Leverage centralized resources to manage projects. - Initiate work orders for projects in collaboration with the dispatch team to get orders assigned to technicians. - Manage work orders to completion and collaborate with finance for invoicing. - Act as the technical liaison between customers and field service engineers to efficiently carry out daily tasks (documentations, energization permits, LOTO, customers, project portals). - Serve as the customer’s advocate by relaying the appropriate level of urgency to projects managers and escalating issues as required. - Pursue continuous learning of products and applications related to CPS UPS’s, and Data Center Product Distribution (DCPD) products. - Provide daily updates to project managers on the status of the projects. - Manage meetings with on-site general contractors to ensure timeline milestones. Role Description You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. - Define and evolve AI enabled test strategies and test plans by analyzing system designs, technical specifications, and user requirements. - Design, develop, and continuously refine automation first test frameworks and scripts, leveraging AI tools to optimize coverage, execution speed, and defect detection. - Execute and automate functional, integration, regression, and end to end testing for both GUI and non-GUI (transactional) systems, prioritizing scalability and resilience. - Partner closely with engineering teams to embed automated and AI assisted testing into the delivery pipeline, influencing design for testability and quality at scale. - Configure, maintain, and debug cloud based and on demand test environments, enabling efficient automated testing and rapid feedback loops. - Drive knowledge sharing, demonstrations, and enablement sessions to help teams adopt AI driven testing approaches and automation best practices. - Collaborate with support and operations teams to apply automation and AI assisted diagnostics when analyzing and resolving production issues, reducing mean time to resolution. - Continuously identify opportunities to replace manual processes with intelligent automation, improving reliability, repeatability, and delivery velocity. Qualifications - 8+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a strong foundation in software testing principles, methodologies and best practices. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation and/or coding using one or more of the following: Java, Perl, Python, JMeter, Insomnia, ACCELQ. - 4+ years of experience investigating, analyzing, documenting, and tracking software defects through resolution. - 4+ years of experience working in Agile (Scrum) and SAFe environments, including tools such as JIRA and Rally. - Intermediate level of proficiency with relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize SQL queries. - Intermediate level of experience with Azure and cloud native services. - Demonstrated AI-first mindset, leveraging AI tools and automation to drive testing efficiency, accelerate delivery, and identify innovation opportunities. - Working knowledge of transaction based and high-volume processing systems. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and investigative skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues. - Proven ability to interpret business requirements and technical specifications and translate them into effective test strategies. - Ability to decompose requirements into user stories, provide accurate estimates, perform code reviews, identify and raise technical risks, and produce clear technical documentation.
