• Be a “hunter” by aggressively looking for new business opportunities within the target markets and core competencies of the Pipeline Compliance Software and Bullhorn Cathodic Protection Remote Monitoring solution and acting as a customer advocate. • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's customer base. • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities in alignment with our strategic plan. • Research potential targets in our legacy industry and relevant adjacencies, identify key players and find creative ways to generate interest/leads. • Be a brand, company, and team evangelist when interacting with customers and stakeholders. • Be a key contributor to our trade show strategy for both new and existing customers.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience business developing new customers and maintaining strategic partnerships in Energy/Utilities/Oil and Gas Industry.
- Corrosion or integrity management experience, strongly preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust business development strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Hunter mentality; cold calling and opening new doors.
- Self-starter.
- Highly self-motivated and hungry for success.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Energy Related field, preferred.
- Experience with using GIS to view and manage data, preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 65%+ of the time visiting clients and customers.
- NACE CP Level 1 certification or above, a plus.
