Supervisor, HCC Risk Adjustment Coding

• Supervise day-to-day team performance, conduct 1:1’s and performance assessments. • Responsible for reviewing and approving time sheets and time off requests. • Receive, merge and track quality, productivity, and feedback for all team members. • Provide a summary of productivity findings on a daily basis, including education on time management and best coding practices. • Provide coaching and feedback on achieving production and quality standards of the role. • Report trends for education opportunities to management for review and/or action. • Motivate team members through effective training, supplemental materials and coaching to improve quality and production. • Apply guidelines and concepts as indicated. • Serve as resource and subject matter expert to staff. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements. • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC)
- Extensive knowledge of ICD -9/10
- 2 years coding experience, required.
- People Leader experience managing a team of employees.
- Familiarity with HCC coding.
- A strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology and disease processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining adherence to high quality standards.
- Must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently.
- Ability to be flexible in work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a remote environment and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software to ensure effectiveness and quality of the processing and security of the data.
