Role Description As a country marketing manager at Whatnot, you love being the driver of hyper-growth and helping sellers grow their businesses fast. You're quick to understand users and communities across every category you’ll be launching—whether it's beauty, trading cards, or anything in between. You are an expert in developing and executing marketing plans centered around customer acquisition and retention. This work includes: - Owning buyer acquisition across the priority categories in Canada, devising campaigns and events that generate buzz and grow those categories demand. - Identifying and pursuing PR and influencer opportunities in the local market across categories. - Developing and executing on the social media strategy for your market's categories across multiple channels and platforms. - Building scalable resources and toolkits to help sellers better market their channels and grow their audiences on the platform. - Measuring and iterating on the effectiveness of category marketing initiatives. Qualifications - 6+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment. - Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform is a plus. - Problem solver with strong project management skills and the ability to fully own strategy and content across multiple marketing channels. - Creative thinker with an aptitude for content creation and copywriting. - Experience tracking KPIs and monitoring success for marketing programs. - Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance. - Comfortable pivoting quickly as needed. Requirements - Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Creative Suite, Figma) is nice to have. - Passion for creator communities and/or existing Whatnot product categories (e.g. vintage clothing, collectibles). - Experience buying and selling in online marketplaces.
