Under the guidance of professional Architects, Designers and Project Managers, you will gain real world knowledge about the approach and process of design and construction documentation, helping shape the built environment in the Industrial sector. This is an opportunity to build your skills by participating in the development of design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, aesthetic and sustainability requirements of projects. Our Industrial team specializes in projects of all sizes across North America, from large logistics hubs to small urban fulfillment centers, and incorporates sustainable features to achieve carbon neutrality and generate more energy than they consume. Duties and Responsibilities - Assists in the development of architectural designs, to ensure that the solution delivered meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements. - Performs code research, material and building systems. - Prepares drawings, models and renderings, following office standards. - Prepares and coordinates presentation materials to ensure project documentation is complete and accurate. - Assists in tracking and reviewing shop drawings, schedules, samples, progress payments, alternate requests and project change documents to ensure all project documentation is accurate and complete. - Follows safety requirements when in the field. Qualifications - Education: You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary Architectural program. - Technical: Design and rendering software skills; e.g., Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop. - Knowledge: Architectural design and presentation techniques; basic permit and building codes. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. Requirements - 0-2 years of project work experience. - Experience in Industrial projects is an asset.
