Role Description Life Safety Code Surveyors conduct Federal surveys in healthcare facilities to assess facility compliance with federal Life Safety Code Requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. - Successful completion of CMS’s Basic Life Safety Code Training required. - NFPA Fire Inspector 1 certification for LSCS Certifications after Jan 1, 2010 preferred. - Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct Federal surveys, complaints investigations, and respond to crisis situations in accordance with Federal laws, regulations, guidelines, the State Operations’ Manual (SOM), and protocols established by the Federal government for the conduct of such operations. - Ability to pass federal background check and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for Visa sponsorship.
