Role Description We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to support a large-scale SharePoint migration and modernization initiative. This role focuses on migrating SharePoint on-premises content to SharePoint Online and enterprise content management platforms, as well as redesigning and developing workflows using Microsoft Power Automate. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint architecture, migration tools, and workflow automation, along with experience delivering complex enterprise-level migration projects. Key Responsibilities - SharePoint Migration (2016 to SharePoint Online / ECM Platform) - Analyze existing SharePoint 2016 content and assess compatibility with target platforms - Develop migration strategies including site structure, metadata, and permissions alignment - Execute content migration using approved tools while preserving metadata, version history, and structure - Validate migrated content for accuracy, completeness, and access controls - Coordinate with Microsoft 365 teams for site provisioning, governance, and compliance - Content Review & Disposition - Facilitate workshops with business units to review and classify existing content - Identify obsolete or redundant content for archival or deletion - Document decisions in a content disposition matrix - Provide reporting on content inventory and migration recommendations - Workflow Migration (SharePoint 2013 to Power Automate) - Analyze and document existing SharePoint 2013 workflows (logic, triggers, approvals, integrations) - Redesign and rebuild workflows in Power Automate using modern capabilities - Identify gaps and propose alternative solutions where needed - Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Deliver complete workflow documentation including diagrams and test results - New Workflow Development - Gather requirements and design new Power Automate workflows - Develop, test, and deploy new automation solutions - Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams - Validation & Quality Assurance - Develop and execute migration validation plans - Perform data reconciliation, metadata validation, and permission verification - Provide detailed validation and status reports - Maintain issue tracking and project status logs throughout the engagement Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and Power Automate - Minimum 5+ years of experience delivering SharePoint migration projects for enterprise environments - Proven experience completing at least 3 SharePoint on-premises migrations (2013/2016/2019) - Experience with SharePoint migration tools and methodologies - Strong experience migrating SharePoint 2013 workflows to Power Automate Technical Expertise - SharePoint & Microsoft 365 - Expertise in SharePoint 2016 on-premises architecture (site collections, content types, metadata, libraries) - Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online (modern sites, document libraries, governance) - Experience with Microsoft 365 compliance features (retention policies, sensitivity labels) - Power Automate - Expertise in building cloud flows, approval workflows, and integrations - Experience replicating SharePoint Designer workflows in Power Automate - Knowledge of advanced features such as conditional logic, parallel processing, and API integrations - Migration & Tools - Hands-on experience with SharePoint migration tools - Knowledge of phased migration methodologies (discovery, pilot, production, validation) - Experience with validation processes including reconciliation and error handling Preferred Qualifications - Experience with OpenText Documentum D2 - Experience with migration tools such as Migration-Center or FME - Knowledge of SharePoint permissions models and migration strategies - Experience handling migration errors, retries, and remediation - Agile development experience Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities - Ability to work independently and manage complex projects - Strong documentation and reporting skills - Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams Additional Information - Remote role (must be based in the United States) - Must have reliable internet connectivity - Availability required during standard business hours (8 AM – 5 PM PST) - Opportunity to work on a large-scale enterprise migration and modernization project Contact Information For more details reach at resumes@navitassols.com.
