Role Description The Treasury Specialist – Warehouse Management supports the operational execution of mortgage loan sales to investors and coordinates closely with warehouse banks. This role centers on high-volume, process-driven work such as purchase advice processing, wire balancing, and loan sale support. The position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and requires exceptional data accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills. - Support the operational execution of mortgage loan sales to investors and coordinate activities with warehouse banks. - Review investor purchase advice to confirm accuracy of terms, pricing, and fees. - Calculate loan sale proceeds and validate expected amounts against investor purchase advice. - Reconcile discrepancies between investor data and incoming wires, investigating and resolving variances promptly. - Perform wire processing and wire balancing to ensure funds are accurately applied and properly documented. - Maintain accurate and organized supporting documentation for loan sales, purchase advice, and wire activity. - Handle high-volume data entry with strong numerical accuracy using 10-key by touch. - Support purchase advice processing, secondary marketing, and loan delivery activities as part of the loan sale process. - Assist with post-closing tasks related to investor reporting, investor coordination, and loan sale fulfillment. - Work across multiple systems and data sources, including loan origination and related mortgage platforms, to validate and reconcile data. - Monitor and manage multiple daily deadlines in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. - Communicate clearly with internal teams and external investors to resolve issues and clarify discrepancies. - Proactively identify issues in data or processes and take initiative to resolve or escalate as appropriate. - Follow structured workflows and procedures while contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes. - Participate in training on proprietary systems and workflows and apply learning quickly in day-to-day responsibilities. Qualifications - Minimum of 2+ years of experience in mortgage operations, treasury operations, or high-volume financial processing. - Strong 10-key by touch skills with the ability to perform high-volume numerical data entry accurately. - Proven experience working in deadline-driven, high-volume environments. - High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy in all aspects of work. - Experience with mortgage operations and loan purchase or loan delivery processes. - Ability to perform operational reconciliations, particularly related to investor data and wire activity. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external investors. - Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines throughout the day. - Comfort working across multiple systems and data sources in a production-based setting. Requirements - Experience with investor reporting and investor coordination in a mortgage or financial services environment. - Background in secondary marketing or post-closing operations. - Exposure to mortgage servicing, including service release or servicing transfers. - Experience in treasury operations and familiarity with warehouse lending or warehouse banks. - Light exposure to loan accounting processes. - Experience using a Loan Origination System (LOS). - Familiarity with AS400 or IBM i environments. - Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. - Ability to reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume setting. - Comfort working across multiple systems and data sources while maintaining accuracy. - Resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. - Interest in gaining exposure to end-to-end loan sale processes and capital markets operations. - Motivation to succeed in a high-volume, production-driven environment with potential for full-time conversion based on performance. The environment is high-volume and production-based, with heavy data entry and numerical processing and multiple daily deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
