Salary Information For New York City metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $59.10 hourly and $65.70 hourly. Role Description The firm’s Knowledge Management Team is seeking a Knowledge Management Team Director. This role will lead a team of Knowledge Management Attorneys (“KMAs”) who support the needs of the firm’s practice and industry groups. This position reports to the Senior Director of Practice Enablement and works in close collaboration with National Practice and Industry Heads and Practice and Industry Group Leaders. Essential Functions - Lead the KM team in content creation and development related to all practice and industry groups, including legislative updates, case law updates, and industry/practice trends. - Accountable for review, editing, and contributions to content such as speeches, articles, blogs, presentations, and webinars. - Ensure practice and industry groups’ intranet content is current and accurate. - Build and maintain content libraries across all industry and practice groups, including model documents, forms, precedents, checklists, and related resources. - Keep practice and industry group leadership and general attorney membership updated on strategic shifts and evolutions. - Partner with central firm resources to ensure effective use of firm-wide and practice-specific tools, processes, and technologies. - Leverage enterprise investments in technologies and innovations at the practice and industry group level. - Accountable for the adoption and effective leveraging of firm-wide practice support resources. - Provide strategic insights and direction to practice and industry group initiatives and special projects. - Ensure the development of strategic goals, performance, and alignment of the KMA team. - Partner with various leaders to align KMA efforts with firmwide goals. - Create and maintain a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. - Develop key performance indicators for the team and report on the impact of KMA work. - Serve as a liaison between the team and other departments to support broader firm initiatives. - Partner with the team and practice innovation attorney to implement new technologies. - Maintain strong working relationships between the team and Practice Support Operations team. - Stay updated on trends in legal practice support, content development, and knowledge strategy. Qualifications - J.D. degree required. - Minimum of 10-12+ years’ experience as an employment litigator and/or knowledge management attorney. - Minimum of 3+ years’ experience leading a team of attorneys with strong leadership and people management skills. - Excellent writing and communication skills. - Passion for knowledge-sharing, organizational skills, proficiency with technology, and an aptitude for innovation. Requirements - For Colorado, the expected salary range for this position is between $190,000 and $220,000. - This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. - Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
