Interdependence

• Serve as senior lead for multiple B2B technology accounts, providing high-level strategy, vision, and counsel. • Build trusted partnerships with client executives, understanding business priorities and aligning PR strategies to drive impact. • Oversee integrated communications programs, including thought leadership, executive visibility, product storytelling, and industry positioning. • Anticipate challenges and provide proactive solutions to ensure long-term client success and retention. • Lead development of integrated media relations programs that secure meaningful, business-impacting coverage. • Shape executive narratives and messaging frameworks for complex technology stories. • Cultivate relationships with top-tier tech, trade, and business media outlets. • Oversee production of strategic content including press releases, bylines, and thought leadership articles. • Manage and mentor account teams to deliver high-quality work with efficiency and precision. • Provide direction, feedback, and guidance to ensure professional growth and career development. • Oversee team structure, workflow, and staffing allocations across multiple clients. • Contribute to business development efforts including proposal creation, presentations, and RFP responses. • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts. • Partner with senior leadership to shape best practices, improve processes, and drive overall agency excellence.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of PR or communications experience, with significant agency experience in B2B technology.
  • Proven success leading integrated communications programs for enterprise, SaaS, or AI clients.
  • Deep understanding of the B2B tech landscape, including key media, trends, and issues shaping the industry.
  • Exceptional writing, pitching, and storytelling abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and client portfolios.
  • Strong presentation and client relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate complex technology into compelling narratives.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, all-remote environment.

Role Description The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) is a prestigious research and development organization that plays a vital role in the study of the universe. Responsibilities include: - Research, develop, and produce NRAO public information materials, including press releases, blog posts, announcements, briefs, presentations, talking points, and other public information products. - Provide input and support for content produced by EPO colleagues for the web, e-blasts, video, and social media. - Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across all NRAO divisions and sites, the press, media producers, and external partners. - Assist NRAO leadership and other staff in preparing materials for presentations to the general public and media training for interviews. - Support public relations by answering requests from journalists, media producers, educators, and the general public about NRAO. - Support visits and tours for media producers and VIPs, including film and photography at NRAO facilities. - Support EPO outreach activities and special events, represent NRAO at public events and professional meetings. - Document projects and work following established processes in Public Information Group using platforms such as Jira, Google Suite, and Microsoft Suite. - Compliance with NRAO and government safety policies and procedures in own work area is expected. - Travel can be expected 2-4 times a year for conferences, outreach, and special events. - Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in education, communication, science, or related field (Master's degree preferred). - Work experience may be considered in lieu of academic degrees for candidates from non-traditional educational backgrounds.
