Senior Manager, Global Payroll

ŌURA

• Lead Global Payroll Operations: Own and scale the end-to-end processing of multi-entity global payrolls, ensuring absolute accuracy, compliance with localized tax laws, and timely execution. • System Administration & Optimization: Act as the primary business owner for our core payroll systems, specifically focusing on the configuration, data integrity, reporting, and automated workflows within Workday Payroll. • Lead Migration and Transformation Initiatives: Lead and participate in complex financial/HR system migrations or implementation projects, partnering with external consultants and internal Business Systems teams to scale infrastructure, including process redesign, testing, cutover, and stabilization. • Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks over global payroll processing to ensure compliance with internal control requirements and audit readiness. • Equity & Mobility Partnership: Partner closely with Stock Plan Administration, Legal, and Corporate Tax to accurately process stock-based compensation distributions (RSUs/Options), net settlements, and withholding taxes across global jurisdictions. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a trusted thought partner to People/HR, FP&A, Accounting, and legal teams to align payroll execution with broader corporate strategies and company goals.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive payroll management experience, ideally within a high-growth consumer technology or hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Deep Payroll expertise: Knowledge of employer tax, social security, statutory leave, and benefits-related payroll obligations across multiple countries.
  • Global Exposure: Knowledge of foreign entity reporting rules, global mobility taxation, and cross-border payroll compliance parameters.
  • Analytical Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the capability to see the big picture while translating complex tax and equity withholding logic into digestible guidance for senior leadership.
  • System Implementation Track Record: Direct experience participating in or leading enterprise-level payroll system implementations, software integrations, or multi-country migrations.
  • Equity Payroll Experience: Deep experience with equity payroll, including stock-compensation taxation and withholding operations.

The Payroll Administrator will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and work closely with finance and HR colleagues to ensure accuracy for reporting, processing, and audit obligations.
