Role Description This position is remote, covering the Columbus, OH territory. The incumbent can live within the territory and must have a valid driver’s license. We’re hiring a Field Service Engineer within our Diagnostics Division. This is a field-based, remote role. As a Field Service Engineer II, you’ll support customers as a trusted technical expert, responsible for: - Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting diagnostic instruments while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction. - Managing your territory, resolving complex issues, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver exceptional service and achieve business goals. - Ensuring reliable diagnostics that directly impact patient care. What You’ll Work On - Install and Maintain Diagnostic Systems: Complete installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on assigned instruments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards. - Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Diagnose technical problems across multiple complex instruments, document resolutions accurately, and close service calls within defined timelines. - Own Customer Satisfaction: Manage customer issues from start to resolution or escalation, deliver superior service, and build strong relationships through proactive communication. - Manage Territory Effectively: Plan and prioritize service visits, maintain accurate inventory, and support on-call rotation, after-hour coverage, and travel for training or critical account support. - Ensure Compliance and Safety: Follow all regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety guidelines during service activities; maintain accurate documentation for audits. - Collaborate and Mentor: Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and provide guidance to other Field Service Representatives to strengthen team capability. - Achieve Business Metrics: Meet targets for service sales, cost of service, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts. - Continuous Improvement: Utilize remote support tools to maximize instrument uptime and maintain certifications through ongoing training and development. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. - 2-5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology. - Ability to travel 40% within the assigned territory. Requirements - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with laboratory instrumentation. - Ability to work independently and thrive in team environments. - Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) and remote computing tools (VPN, remote troubleshooting). - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Role Description The Lead Field Support Representative (FSR)-Artillery Master Gunner serves as Artillery Subject Matter Expert (SME) and is responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and operational assistance for Artillery systems. This position serves as the primary interface between the test team and test manager, field units, program engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure effective operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the system during developmental and operational testing. The role requires proven domain expertise for Artillery systems and the ability to build and manage a team of FSR professionals supporting systems in rigorous test environments. - Serve as HDUSA SME on Artillery system requirements and operational environments to ensure relevant technical development and direct interface to the US Army customer. - Build, manage, and lead a FSR team supporting systems in US Army testing. - Provide on-site technical support for operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of ground combat vehicle systems and subsystems. - Serve as the primary field liaison to customer organizations, operators, maintainers, and program management teams. - Lead field support activities, coordinating daily tasks, prioritizing customer needs, and ensuring timely response to technical issues. - Document, track, and report field incidents, performance issues, and maintenance trends; escalate issues to engineering teams as necessary. - Support the execution of modifications, upgrades, system tests, and field retrofits in accordance with program specifications. - Provide operator and maintainer training, instructional materials, and hands-on demonstrations as required. - Communicate system performance data and field observations to engineering and logistics teams to support design improvements and lifecycle support planning. - Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, configuration management, and quality requirements during field operations. - Participate in field trials, test events, and evaluation activities in various operational environments. - Travel to customer sites, test ranges, operational units, and partner facilities as program requirements dictate. Qualifications - Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or equivalent military training/experience. - Professional experience providing technical support to U.S. artillery systems. - Strong working knowledge of ground vehicle systems (e.g., automotive, electrical, hydraulic, software-based systems, weapon subsystems). - Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently and communicate solutions effectively. - Experience working in field environments, including testing, operational support, or sustainment activities. - Strong documentation, communication, and customer-interaction skills. - Ability to travel frequently and work in diverse environments. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience supporting ground combat vehicles or other military tactical vehicle platforms. - Active or eligible DoD security clearance. - Familiarity with Army technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and sustainment processes. - Experience coordinating with engineering teams, program managers, and government representatives. - Demonstrated leadership experience in field support, maintenance, or test operations.
