Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Qualifications Manager to lead the development, review, and strategic management of our qualification offer. You will lead a team responsible for designing new qualifications, reviewing existing provision, and driving engagement in new markets. This role is essential to ensuring our qualifications remain current, compliant with regulatory standards, and align with the needs of learners, employers, and providers, while supporting business growth and innovation. This is a key leadership role within the Product Development team and offers the opportunity to shape and grow our qualification portfolio in line with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement a qualification development strategy that supports business growth and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate and lead the design and maintenance of qualifications to ensure they are current, valid, and fit for purpose. - Facilitate collaborative qualification development projects with internal teams and external stakeholders, including Training Providers, Employers, and Sector Bodies. - Ensure all qualifications are mapped to appropriate standards and frameworks and meet funding eligibility where applicable. - Identify market trends and respond with innovative qualification solutions to maintain a competitive edge. - Maintain a detailed understanding of sector reform and anticipate how changes in policy or regulation impact qualification development. - Produce and present reports on qualification performance, including uptake and stakeholder feedback. - Act as a key point of contact for regulatory communications and compliance related to qualifications. - Line manage a team of Leads and Qualification Developers, supporting their performance, development, and well-being. - Champion continuous improvement and drive innovation in qualification design and delivery. - Provide expert advice and guidance on qualification content and structure in response to enquiries, complaints, or regulatory queries. - Monitor departmental budget and resource use, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services. - Ensure that all qualifications developed are inclusive and accessible. Other Responsibilities - Represent TQUK at external meetings, consultations, and forums as required. - Contribute to sector thought leadership by authoring blogs, articles, and guidance documents. - Support the organisation’s equality, diversity, and inclusion objectives through qualification development. - Contribute to organisational strategy and collaborate with other senior staff to achieve business goals. - Engage proactively with internal communications, policies, and procedures. Qualifications - Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Qualification Development, or related field. - Leadership and line management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organisational and project coordination abilities. - Ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders. - Understanding of qualification design and compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofqual, DfE). - Awareness of sector reform and funding landscape. - Leading teams in qualification design and review. - Managing relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
