• Coordinate the month-end and quarter-end close process for the International accounting team, ensuring alignment of deliverables with corporate deadlines and timely tracking and reporting of issues • Support month-end and quarter-end close for international entities, including preparation or review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis • Review monthly transfer pricing calculations and ensure the monthly entries are accurately recorded for the International entities • Drive consistency and quality across the International accounting team, including tracking and reporting of key performance indicators to management • Own the secondary ledger close and related processes to ensure best in class use and to ensure there is a value add impact on statutory reporting • Work with consolidations team to investigate issues and discrepancies related to intercompany • Support on technical accounting impacts when transactions or issues occur, through independent investigation, as well as collaboration with other key stakeholders • Participate and lead automation and improvement projects, ensuring international specific concerns are raised • Work with and support other operational accounting teams, such as payroll, AR, and AP, as the need arises • Assist with US GAAP and statutory audits for international entities, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation, reviewing financial statements, and managing audit requests • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline with CPA or equivalent license
  • 8+ years of general accounting experience or 5+ years including Big 4
  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other similar international accounting qualification)
  • Experience with Irish or UK GAAP
  • Experience with US GAAP
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment

The Accounts Payable and Disbursements group supports LANL's multi-billion vendor payment operation, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of financial obligations. The group maintains financial controls through invoice validation, tax compliance, vendor master integrity, and audit preparedness while supporting a diverse supplier base and internal stakeholders.
