• Lead an Agile software development team within the Core Services & Libraries organization • Break down program-level objectives into executable user stories, tasks, and milestones • Assign and track work across team members, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards • Provide regular progress metrics and reporting to program management and customer representatives • Mentor team members on software design, partitioning, certification, and avionics standards • Contribute technically to the architecture, design, and implementation of core software components • Collaborate with other leads to define interfaces, data flows, and I/O architecture across systems • Ensure development aligns with certification objectives (DO-178C DAL A/B) and coding standards • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve team performance

• Abstract and consolidate core functions into reusable libraries and frameworks • Extract existing functionality from application code and refactor for shared use • Design and implement an I/O framework supporting multiple protocols and data interfaces • Define and maintain data dictionaries and I/O level specifications • Collaborate with system architects to ensure ARINC-653 partitioning integrity • Support certification activities through HLR/LLR documentation and DAL compliance • Contribute to long-term strategy for scalable, maintainable software infrastructure

• Partner with our Director of Engineering and Staff Engineer to shape technical direction • Lead the evolution of frontend architecture (components, rendering strategies, etc) • Translate product and design intent into elegant, maintainable UI • Simplify complex workflows and improve usability, responsiveness, and performance • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design on solution development • Mentor engineers and raise the bar for frontend and UX craftsmanship • Take actual breaks and vacations - no off-hours or weekend work except when the app experiences unforeseen issues (which does not happen often)

• Own the stability and performance of CI across frontend and backend repositories. • Hunt down flakiness in test suites and build tooling to make flakiness visible. • Establish Elixir unit and integration testing patterns with backend engineers. • Optimize pipeline performance for significant reductions in CI runtime. • Build dashboards to surface CI health and testing metrics. • Define lightweight criteria for release readiness integrated into the pipeline. • Introduce AI-assisted test generation workflows into the Elixir framework. • Collaborate with QA engineers to integrate end-to-end tests without sacrificing speed.
