During the development phase of these projects, teams will be organized to support multiple projects concurrently. Following project award, dedicated project teams will be formed, and personnel will be assigned and mobilize to a combined cycle project. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”. #LI-JL1 Major Responsibilities: - Participates with the project team in defining and developing the scope of Procurement work, and in preparing and coordinating Procurement plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for an individual project. - Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on project documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated when assigned, prepares, coordinates, and submits Procurement input to business development proposals, soliciting input from functional management, as necessary. - Develops, coordinates, and makes Procurement presentations to project and/or Customer personnel - Directly handles formation and award of purchase orders and manages the team undertaking the same - Directly manages execution of purchase orders - Supports the development of the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and the division of responsibility - Coordinates Procurement execution plan with Engineering and Construction - Plans and directs the orderly closeout of Procurement operations, including settlement of claims and back-charges, and resolving punch list items - Makes presentations to project, functional, GBU, and corporate management as required Education and Experience Requirements: - Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: - Must have project procurement management experience on an EPC project, preferably including power generation. - Experienced in project planning and operations, including both office and jobsite locations. - Working knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Quality procedures. - Experienced in the managing others, including defining tasks, making work assignments, and evaluating performance. - Knows the applicable Corporate and global business unit policies and instructions, and Procurement procedures and guidelines that affect the work. As the Lead Project Manager, Technology, you will coordinate and lead project work and team members to deliver information technology projects with agility. What you’ll do on a typical day: - Use agile methodology to deliver IT solutions through researching, planning, communicating and coordinating across the IT team and other departments. - Manage IT projects through the application of generally accepted project management principles and GXO Project Management methodology, including agile project management. - Facilitate resources and timetables to complete IT projects. - Coordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects and other tasks. - Conduct system audits of implemented technologies through data analysis and writing complex SQL statements. - Recommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, assess trends and anticipate requirements. - Forecast requirements to accomplish financial objectives; prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures and research variances. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience. - 4 years of experience in the application of agile project management methodology in data management, data warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) projects in the retail, logistics or supply chain industries. - Experience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, researching data and effectively explaining results to business analysts. - Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope. - Demonstrated ability to write proficient SQL queries for relational databases, research data and assess data quality. - Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. - Solid understanding of retail, logistics and supply chain. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred). - 5 years of experience as an IT project manager (preferred). - PMP, CSM, NRF Retail or Supply Chain certifications (preferred). - Ability to work independently, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment. - Solid business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a project. - Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid risk management skills. - Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various groups.
