Title: Project Procurement Manager Location: Reston, VA, US, 20190 Department: Infrastructure Job Description: Requisition ID: 294969 - Relocation Authorized: None - Telework Type: Part-Time Telework - Work Location: Reston, VA, Houston, TX Several combined cycle power projects are currently underway or planned to be developed and executed by Bechtel over the next 5-10 years. During the development phase of these projects, teams will be organized to support multiple projects concurrently. Following project award, dedicated project teams will be formed, and personnel will be assigned and mobilize to a combined cycle project. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”. #LI-JL1 Major Responsibilities: - Participates with the project team in defining and developing the scope of Procurement work, and in preparing and coordinating Procurement plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for an individual project. - Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on project documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated when assigned, prepares, coordinates, and submits Procurement input to business development proposals, soliciting input from functional management, as necessary. - Develops, coordinates, and makes Procurement presentations to project and/or Customer personnel - Directly handles formation and award of purchase orders and manages the team undertaking the same - Directly manages execution of purchase orders - Supports the development of the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and the division of responsibility - Coordinates Procurement execution plan with Engineering and Construction - Plans and directs the orderly closeout of Procurement operations, including settlement of claims and back-charges, and resolving punch list items - Makes presentations to project, functional, GBU, and corporate management as required Education and Experience Requirements: - Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: - Must have project procurement management experience on an EPC project, preferably including power generation. - Experienced in project planning and operations, including both office and jobsite locations. - Working knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Quality procedures. - Experienced in the managing others, including defining tasks, making work assignments, and evaluating performance. - Knows the applicable Corporate and global business unit policies and instructions, and Procurement procedures and guidelines that affect the work.
