Role Description As the National Sales Director, Retail & Club, you will be responsible for leading and growing a portfolio of key retail and club customers while driving strategic growth initiatives across Teasdale’s branded and private label business. This role combines direct customer ownership with team leadership responsibilities and will oversee one direct report. You will manage several of Teasdale’s most important customer relationships, lead negotiations, develop joint business plans, and identify opportunities to accelerate profitable growth across a broad portfolio of Latin-inspired products, including: - Tortillas and tortilla chips - Taco shells - Meal kits - Hominy - Salsa - Canned and refried beans The ideal candidate brings strong customer relationships, category expertise, and a hands-on commercial mindset. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable leading strategic discussions with customers, building selling stories through insights and analytics, and partnering cross-functionally to drive execution. You will work closely with Procurement, Quality, R&D, Product Management, Demand Planning, Operations, and Consumer Insights teams to deliver customer solutions that support sustainable growth and profitability. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth organization with significant upside potential while playing a meaningful role within Teasdale’s commercial organization. This role reports to the SVP, Chief Sales Officer. This is a full-time role (Remote or Hybrid). Preferred locations include Bentonville, AR, Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX. Travel up to 40–50%. Qualifications - 8–10+ years of consumer packaged goods sales experience, preferably within food or grocery. - Experience calling on retail, mass, and/or club customers required. - Proven experience managing large national or regional customer relationships and delivering profitable growth. - Previous leadership experience managing at least one direct report or leading cross-functional initiatives. - Strong strategic selling, negotiation, and joint business planning capabilities. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable customer strategies and compelling presentations. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. - Self-starter mentality with strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, high standards, and a strong sense of urgency. - Experience working with syndicated data platforms (IRI/Circana/Nielsen) preferred. Requirements - Lead several of Teasdale’s key retail and club customer relationships, owning day-to-day business management and strategic growth plans. - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and key business partners. - Develop and execute customer-specific joint business plans that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share. - Identify opportunities to expand Teasdale’s branded and private label business across existing and new customers. - Lead annual business planning, forecasting, promotional planning, and customer negotiations. - Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, R&D, and Customer Service, to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction. - Utilize syndicated and customer-specific data to develop compelling category and consumer insights, selling stories. - Manage and develop one direct report while helping build capabilities across the broader commercial organization. - Analyze market trends, customer strategies, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and recommend actions. - Support product positioning, pricing, assortment, and packaging recommendations to drive long-term growth. - Actively manage broker relationships to support sales execution and business performance. - Communicate customer feedback and market insights to internal teams to support innovation and continuous improvement. - Operate with agility and urgency in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
