Intern – Software Engineer, Custom Government

Akamai Technologies

• Developing backend and frontend solutions while automating workflows to improve productivity and operational efficiency. • Building software features throughout the full software development lifecycle for internal use within Akamai. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define standards and document processes. • Learning about our distributed systems, products, and technical stack as needed for your role.

Job Requirements

  • Be currently studying in a Bachelors or Masters program in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Have experience developing with Python and Shell in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Have knowledge of databases, including NoSQL databases such as CassandraDB and CouchDB, as well as relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Be responsible, self-motivated, diligent, and able to think analytically and deliver solutions to complex problems.
