Role Description This position reports to the Risk Consulting Country Manager for Iberia. AXA XL Risk Consulting is looking for a qualified property risk engineer who will partner with the underwriting team in evaluating account risk quality and coordinate the scope and delivery of property loss prevention services to clients. - Analyzes risk and proposes mitigation solutions for underwriting, clients, and claims. - Conducts site visits, plan reviews, and desktop reviews. - Works closely with the network of specialized engineers of AXA XL Risk Consulting to serve clients. - Collaborates with local underwriters, claims, and sales teams (CDLs) to secure proper assessment of new/renewed clients. - Builds credibility and creates customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk control services. - Participates actively in process improvements and special projects. - This position will service primarily Spain & Portugal and support insured and non-insured clients. Travel is anticipated but will primarily be in the Iberian Peninsula. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) required. - Strong working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and European Codes. - Strong working knowledge of fire protection. - Fluent in written and spoken Spanish & English; Portuguese is desirable. - Knowledge in machinery & equipment-related exposures is a bonus but not required. - Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects. - Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. - Ability to make technical information and recommendations understandable to a broad range of audiences. - Self-starter, capable of managing their schedule and resources. - Work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively with internal and external partners. - Valid driver’s license required.
