Role Description: The Level 0 Programme Batch Planning Lead is accountable for the development, control, and assurance of the integrated Level 0 & Level 1 schedule for all Batches, including major elements of the program. The role provides strategic scheduling leadership across multiple ships, ensuring interdependencies between Manufacturing, shipyard capacity, supply chains, combat system integration, and trials resources are fully integrated and actively managed. The position ensures the Level 0 schedule optimises batch delivery outcomes, maintains coherence across ship build sequences, and provides authoritative schedule insight to support executive decision-making, risk management, and government governance in a complex, highly regulated defence environment. Core Duties: - Accountable for the HCF Program Level 0 Master schedule and Level 1 schedule for all 6 Ships - Define and control batch-level milestones, delivery sequences, and cadence across ships. - Ensure visibility of ship-to-ship dependencies and handovers within the overall programme timeline. - Collaborate closely with Future scopes team to ensure integrated TCE/future batch is seamlessly integrated into the PMB - Establish program strategic resource requirements including future scopes not contracted - Work closely with Operations Team to consider not only HCFP Ship Yard capacity but multiship impacts from other platforms - Review and validate the schedule data input into the Project Performance Review Pack (PPRP) - Conduct monthly analysis on schedule movements, critical path analysis, key milestone reporting, float management - Specifically focussed on Batch implications - Provide management information and analysis to the monthly Schedule Integration Review - Pro-actively manage and report the affect of Schedule Risk and Uncertainty on the SRA and provide recommendation for action to the management team - Liaise with the Risk team and lead the quarterly Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) process - Pro-actively manage and report the affect of Schedule Risk and Uncertainty Essential Skills: - Ability to use several analytical techniques to break apart complex problems into component parts - When looking at information, sees patterns, trends, or missing pieces - Ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements - In depth understanding of Project Management/Controls function and its interactions with other functions - Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management - Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships - Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of difference audiences is critical to this role - Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project The Hunter Class Frigate Team BAE Systems Australia is leading the largest ever surface ship project in Australia's defence history - the design and build of Hunter class frigates.
