Business Development Manager – Environmental Compliance

SGS

• Responsible for the sale of analytical services to existing and prospected customers • Secure business opportunities to meet revenue targets • Generate revenue for SGS services • Generate leads and sales through client and prospect relationship development • Close sales on prospective clients and maintain functional relationship with major accounts • Develop relationships with current clients to maintain and obtain additional business • Market research to assist in annual marketing and sales plan • Attend annual conference and assist with organization and implementation of marketing and sales activities • Generate proposals for existing clients and prospects • Follow-up with new clients to ensure needs are met and expand business • Discuss new trends or programs with management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business development and/or sales
  • Proven experience in business development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive results under pressure
  • In-depth understanding of global regulatory frameworks
  • Strong ability to create tailored business cases to win new customers
  • Demonstrated success in networking, selling, and establishing relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Solid understanding of innovative approaches to business development and sales
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics
