Role Description The Senior Intelligence Analyst will specialize in Narrative Risk Intelligence. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in intelligence using Blackbird.AI’s Constellation analytics platform to conduct social media analysis, identify risk areas, and create compelling client deliverables. - Lead client reporting projects as the Blackbird intelligence representative. - Conduct social media intelligence analysis using Blackbird.AI’s Constellation analytics platform to identify and monitor risk areas. - Create client deliverables, including reports and presentations, based on analytical insights. - Maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including the provision of training, onboarding, and other support services to customers. - Demonstrate expertise in Blackbird.AI’s Constellation software product to external audiences. - Contribute to other commercial opportunities such as marketing and thought leadership content creation, or sales support activities. - Perform other ad hoc intelligence, support, product, R&D, and administrative tasks, including Quality Assurance checks for Blackbird.AI’s software products. Qualifications - Proven experience in producing intelligence products, preferably for both private and public sector clients, with a strong preference for candidates from strategic communications, crisis communications, consultancy, or PR-related backgrounds. - Experience in social media analysis, specifically leveraging social media data for enterprise-level intelligence work. - Familiarity with mainstream and alternative social media platforms, including their users, audiences, content, structures, and mechanisms. - Proficiency in intelligence practices and methodologies, encompassing the identification of key collection sources, assessment of raw intelligence, research, network analysis, and the preparation of comprehensive intelligence reports for enterprise-level clients. - Effective oral and written communication skills, enabling the creation and delivery of timely, concise, and accurate intelligence reports and briefings. - Strong professionalism, self-motivation, efficiency, and a track record of delivering on tight deadlines. - Prior experience with software tools such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Dark Owl, Dataminr, Tableau, and Asana is highly advantageous. - Previous involvement in both qualitative and quantitative project management is a plus. - Additional language skills such as Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, German, or Farsi are welcome, but not required. • Conduct travel risk assessments and threat assessments in support of executive protection operations, senior leader travel, and corporate events. • Support insider threat investigations in coordination with HR, Legal, IT and other stakeholders. • Research and investigate people of interest who may pose threats to executives, employees, or organizational assets. • Produce clear, concise intelligence reports, executive briefings, and incident summaries for leadership. • Leverage open-source, commercial, and other databases for intelligence collection, trend analysis, and risk forecasting. • Collaborate with the global security operations center on real-time incident monitoring, alerts, and escalations. • Monitor geopolitical, criminal, cyber, and reputational threats across global regions and integrate findings into actionable reporting. • Provide intelligence support to Regional Security Managers in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, tailoring analysis to regional risk profiles and operational needs. • Maintain intelligence databases, case files, and records in accordance with legal, regulatory, and privacy requirements. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of intelligence tradecraft, SOPs, and analytic methodologies.

Role Description This role is the quantitative engine of the Investments unit, providing the analytical foundation for portfolio management guidelines, manager analytics, performance attribution, and investment tool development. Operating at a senior specialist level of institutional investment experience, the incumbent takes full ownership of the Corporation's quantitative framework — from model design and alpha profiling to scenario analysis and benchmark review. In addition to the analytical mandate, the role carries direct responsibility for investment reconciliation and serves as the primary Investments unit liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring that all quantitative processes, data flows, and controls meet audit standards and are documented to an evidence-ready standard. The role works in close collaboration with the Investment Specialist (Research) to integrate quantitative rigour into manager selection and portfolio construction decisions, and actively contributes to building the investment capability of the junior team through deliberate, structured knowledge transfer. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. Honours or postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in institutional investment management, with demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, performance measurement, and multi-manager portfolio analytics. - Proven track record in building quantitative models and investment tools; proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB is required at this level. - Proficiency in using Bloomberg as a reporting and analysis tool is essential. - Holding a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement), or a similar professional qualification is highly advantageous. - Demonstrated experience in a multi-manager investment environment, with exposure to manager due diligence, alpha profiling, and portfolio construction analytics, is highly advantageous. - Strong understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive investment decisions. - Familiarity with South African investment regulatory frameworks (SARB, FSCA, SAM) is advantageous. Requirements - Develop, maintain, and periodically review the Portfolio Management Guidelines (PMGs) for each asset class and fund manager mandate. - Coordinate PMG updates with the Head of Investments and prepare supporting documentation and quantitative rationale for FIIC approval. - Monitor adherence to PMGs on an ongoing basis and escalate deviations or emerging issues to the Head of Investments. - Compile and maintain comprehensive manager return and risk databases, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and timeliness across all mandates. - Conduct quantitative due diligence on fund managers, including style analysis, factor attribution, drawdown analytics, volatility decomposition, and peer benchmarking. - Own the performance measurement methodology for the Corporation's investment portfolios. - Design, develop, and maintain quantitative models and investment tools to support portfolio analytics, return attribution, risk measurement, scenario modelling, and asset allocation analysis. - Support the Head of Investments in portfolio construction decisions by providing quantitative analysis of asset allocation, risk budgeting, mandate structuring, and diversification. - Prepare and present quantitative investment analyses, performance reports, and portfolio analytics for the Head of Investments, FIIC, EXCO, and Board. - Actively share quantitative methods, tools, frameworks, and institutional knowledge with the Junior Investment Analyst. - Perform monthly reconciliation of investment transactions and asset valuations across the Corporation's portfolios. - Serve as the primary Investments unit liaison for both internal and external auditors during interim and year-end audits. - Lead the identification and implementation of opportunities to automate, enhance, or replace existing analytical and reconciliation processes. - Conduct rigorous statistical analysis of large datasets. - Prepare and interpret monthly and quarterly investment reports. The Senior Cyber Threat Analyst will lead efforts to investigate cybersecurity incidents from end-to-end, engaging and coordinating peer teams, stakeholders, and external entities as necessary. This person will play a role of subject matter expert in the areas of incident response, threat hunting, and forensics. The Senior Cyber Threat Analyst will author incident response runbooks and mentor cyber threat analysts in incident response and digital forensics methodologies.
