Role Description Paperless Post is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help craft the rich, polished experiences that millions of people rely on to celebrate the moments that matter. You'll drive frontend architecture decisions, and partner closely with product and design as part of a deeply collaborative team. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience developing for web or mobile platforms in an established codebase. - A collaborative mindset that supports clear communication and constructive feedback. - A passion for solving problems and building features for end users. - Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to influence architecture and articulate technical decisions across teams. - Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Requirements - Expertise in TypeScript & React and proficiency in GraphQL. - Familiarity with Next.js, SSR concepts, and frontend tooling. - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, and accessibility best practices. - Expertise in maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI. - Expertise in software testing with unit and end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Testim, or Detox. - Proficiency with AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in your workflow. - Nice to have: hands-on React Native experience building and shipping features. - A plus: experience in Golang, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Java. • Play a central role in the migration of our legacy frontend to React — defining patterns, setting standards, and building incrementally without breaking what's live. • Design and evolve a scalable frontend architecture — component systems, state management, performance patterns, testing strategy — built to grow with the product. • Work closely with Product and Design to implement omnichannel UI experiences across voice, chat, email, and other digital channels. • Define and enforce frontend engineering standards — code quality, accessibility, performance, and maintainability. • Mentor other engineers on React best practices and frontend architecture decisions. • Contribute to backend development when required — using Node.js and Nest.js — whether that's building APIs, fixing issues, or unblocking the team. • Actively contribute to technical discussions, challenge scope, and propose better approaches when you see them. • Help the team move faster by reducing friction — better tooling, cleaner abstractions, clearer patterns.

• Proficiency in Typescript • Proficiency in JavaScript/ES6 • Proficiency in Vue 3 • Knowledge in Vue 2 • Proven experience in Node JS • Proven experience in HTML, CSS, Tailwind, SCSS • Integrating with backend APIs and hosting securely on S3 + CloudFront with CI/CD automation. • Candidate must have solid research/troubleshooting and analytical skills • The ability to be able to dig into code or documentation to help them solve issues and leverage all resources available to them. • Knowledge of Automating Vue.js frontends using Playwright/Cypress/Selenium to run large-scale, data-driven regression tests that reliably simulate thousands of transactions through the UI. • Proficiency in integrating Rest APIs and dealing with Json output. • Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks • Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services • Work closely with sales and business development teams to support technical solutioning, client discussions, demos, and pre-sales activities • Translate business and client requirements into scalable technical solutions • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, sales stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions • Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability • Mentor junior and intermediate developers through code reviews and technical guidance • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure adherence to development best practices, coding standards, and DevOps processes • Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and cloud deployment strategies
