SEO / GEO Specialist
Employment HeroEmployment Hero is an HR-focused technology company on a mission to create a "better world at work" and change what people expect from employment. Beckoning qualified job seekers t
Role Description Search is changing faster than it ever has. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and generative answers are reshaping how people find information — and how brands win or lose visibility. At Employment Hero, we’re not watching that shift from the sidelines. We’re hiring an SEO Specialist who takes genuine ownership of organic performance across four markets, someone who thinks commercially, works autonomously, and leads execution across people and platforms, not just tools. You understand that getting a brand cited in an AI-generated answer is becoming just as strategic as ranking #1 on Google, and you’ve already started thinking about how to get there. This is a hands-on, multi-region role covering Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada. You’ll work closely with our Global SEO Lead to execute and evolve our global organic strategy, spanning technical SEO, content, link building, and GEO, and help shape how Employment Hero shows up across both traditional and AI-driven search surfaces. If you’ve built Claude workflows that replaced hours of manual work, check Perplexity to see how your brand is described, and can connect organic traffic to pipeline — this role was written for you. - Run technical SEO audits across Employment Hero’s websites, own the fix pipeline, and manage freelancers and suppliers to get changes shipped. - Monitor GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, and SEMrush for traffic fluctuations and strategic signals — and translate algorithm updates and AI search shifts into actionable strategy. - Write research-backed content briefs for internal writers, leading keyword research, content gap analysis, and topical authority building across the content and brand team. - Build and optimise landing pages with design and CRO, balancing UX, conversion performance, and on-page SEO. - Lead backlink outreach end-to-end: prospecting, editor relationships, link reclamation, and guest post quality control. - Own Employment Hero’s GEO programme — tracking citation share across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews using tools like Profound or Otterly, and applying entity optimisation and content structure to move the needle. - Build repeatable AI-powered workflows using Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others to automate audits, keyword clustering, brief generation, and reporting — daily use, not occasional experimentation. - Report on commercial impact (pipeline and revenue, not just traffic), contribute to weekly and monthly SEO reporting, and help make the function more scalable through smart tooling and process design. Qualifications - 3–5 years in a dedicated SEO role — agency, B2B SaaS, or marketplace background preferred. - Proven organic results you can walk through with specifics: traffic, rankings, and pipeline or revenue impact. - Strong technical foundations across crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, and log file analysis. - Fluent in Ahrefs, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and SEMrush. - Experience coordinating link building campaigns and managing freelancers or suppliers to get execution done — not just running platforms solo. - Daily, habitual use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) — this is a qualifying criterion; at least one repeatable AI-powered workflow you’ve built and can demonstrate. - Able to report on organic performance in commercial terms: pipeline contribution and revenue influence, not just traffic and rankings. - Clear communicator who can brief a writer, present data to a stakeholder, and explain algorithm changes to a non-technical team — and self-directed enough to own your output in a remote-first environment. Benefits - Work remotely, with the flexibility to own your time and impact. - Access cutting-edge tools to amplify your work, knowledge, and outputs. - Surround yourself with ambitious, outcome-driven colleagues who challenge you to do the best work of your life. - Own ESOP (employee share options) in one of the world’s fastest-growing tech companies. - Access to a wide range of benefits that includes a very generous parental leave policy, subsidised egg freezing, a WFH office expense budget, and outstanding learning & development opportunities. - Annual Global Gathering — so far we’ve been to Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Dubai and are excited to meet in Gold Coast in Australia in September 2026.
Role Description We Don't Need a Web Designer. We Need a Landing Page Machine Who Builds Pages That Print Money. Lander Specialist Most designers make pretty pages. You'll build landing pages, advertorials, and sales pages that actually convert. Landing pages are where traffic becomes revenue. A great ad means nothing if the landing page doesn't convert. You'll be responsible for building high-converting landing pages, advertorials, and sales pages across our portfolio of DTC brands. Not just making them look good—making them perform. We test constantly. That means you'll be building new pages, iterating on winners, and killing losers fast. Speed matters. But so does quality. You need both. What You'll Do - Build landing pages, advertorials, and sales pages from scratch - Implement designs quickly using Shopify, PageFly, Replo, or similar builders - Clone and iterate on winning page structures - Collaborate with CRO and Creative teams on page optimization - Execute A/B test variations rapidly - Ensure pages are mobile-optimized and load fast - Maintain consistent brand aesthetics across all pages - Turn briefs and wireframes into live, high-converting pages Qualifications - 1+ years of experience building landing pages or sales pages - Strong proficiency with Shopify and page builders (PageFly, Replo, GemPages, or similar) - Understanding of direct response design principles (not just "pretty") - Ability to work fast without sacrificing quality - Eye for clean, conversion-focused layouts - Basic understanding of what makes a page convert (headlines, CTAs, visual hierarchy) - Experience with mobile-first design Bonus Points - Experience with DTC/e-commerce brands - Background in advertorial or long-form sales page design - Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for custom tweaks - Figma skills for design collaboration - You've built pages that actually converted (and can show results) Requirements - Designers who prioritize aesthetics over conversion - Those who need detailed specs for every pixel - Anyone who can't handle fast turnarounds and multiple iterations - People who have only worked on brand websites, not performance pages - Those who take days to build what should take hours Benefits - 💰 Monthly Salary: $800 - $1,000/month - Monthly performance bonuses tied to company Operating Profit (5-25% of salary) - Quarterly profit pool distribution (2-7.5% of company profits shared among team) - Remote-first environment - Work with a team of A-players who actually give a damn - Direct founder access—no layers of bureaucracy - Real ownership of your domain—we don't micromanage Our Hiring Process - Step 1: Application (You're here!) - Step 2: Initial Interview with Founder - Step 3: Internal Assessment by Rescale - Step 4: WhatsApp update for next steps - Step 5: Signing of Independent Contractor and NDA - Step 6: Onboarding and Training Total timeline: 1 week from application to offer. P.S. One of our landing pages converts at 8%+. If you can build pages like that—or better—we want to talk. P.P.S. If you're reading this far, you're already more thorough than 90% of applicants. That's exactly who we want.
