The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer owns the reporting capabilities for Provider Programs related to these portfolio offerings. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer would evaluate the existing capabilities and own the transformation in uniformity and structure into the future. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer helps solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer determines the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data to create insightful and actionable business information. - Design, develop, and implement scalable Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models, to meet business requirements. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Power BI visualizations. - Build and maintain robust data models using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization. - Integrate data from multiple sources, such as SQL databases, Excel, and cloud platforms, and transform data using Power Query and DAX. - Develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they adhere to organizational standards and best practices. - Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to address issues related to data refresh, performance, and user access. - Maintain documentation for developed solutions, including data models, workflows, and user guides. - Provide training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and effective use of Power BI tools. - Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies throughout all BI activities. - Continuously evaluate and implement new features and enhancements within Power BI, staying current with platform updates. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. - Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report design. - Experience integrating data from diverse sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, cloud platforms). - Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and BI solution lifecycle. - Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Experience with troubleshooting Power BI performance and data refresh issues. - Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy standards. - Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support end-users. Requirements - Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. - Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. - Experience with advanced Power BI features (e.g., Row-Level Security, Power BI Service administration). - Familiarity with other BI and analytics tools (e.g., Databricks, SSRS, Azure Synapse). - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R. - Experience with Agile or Scrum project methodologies. - Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100, PL-300). - Prior experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
