The IT Project Manager must coordinate and manage department and enterprise level technology projects, provide project analysis and status information to management, assist interested Firm teams with implementing recommended project management practices, and participate in improving project management office (PMO) practices, policies, and procedures. The IT Project Manager works to ensure the continuation and evolution of the PMO’s strategic and administrative goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Technology Project Management - Become and remain proficient with project management methods and supporting technology. - Collaborate with users, business owners, and management to identify technology solution requirements, scope, schedule, resources, and costs. - Employ the appropriate project management methodologies for optimum results. - Create applicable project artifacts to monitor and track project progress and status. - Generate reports as necessary for project stakeholders and management. - Manage technology projects to their completion, including proper project close out. - Project Management Consulting - Work with the PMO team to improve PMO operations, procedures, policies, and execution. - Advise and educate interested Firm parties on project management concepts, methods, and technologies. - Work with the Firm’s internal training department on project management education initiatives.
