• Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Take full ownership of the entire development lifecycle for new platform features, from technical design and requirement clarification with product and support teams to testing and deployment. • Tackle the logic and challenges of Shopify API integrations and develop solutions that deliver real value to our customers in accounting and e-commerce. • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments to ensure our platform is performant and reliable. • Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with the team, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with solid expertise in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with AI coding tools and a willingness to further promote AI use in our development process.
- Structured thinking: Able to break down complex problems, clarify requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and design clean, well-engineered solutions.
- API expertise: Deep experience designing and consuming Shopify GraphQL APIs, including complex third-party integrations.
- Cloud knowledge: Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, etc.).
- Problem-solving skills: Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities. Comfortable working with uncertainty and finding the root cause of issues.
- Strong collaboration: Communicates clearly and works effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., GitLab), and agile practices such as monthly scope planning and regular code reviews.

POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Director, Ecommerce Marketing is responsible for leading and executing ecommerce marketing strategies across multiple online marketplaces, including Amazon and other retail.com platforms. This role manages the day‑to‑day relationship with the third‑party Amazon agency and serves as the primary ecommerce marketing partner to Brand teams—supporting planning, execution, optimization, and performance reporting. This position works closely with the Ecommerce Sales, Digital/Media, and Creative teams to develop and evaluate ecommerce marketing programs against defined KPIs, with a focus on driving profitable growth and optimizing marketing spend. • Lead and manage the e-Commerce and Marketing Activities on Amazon store for NFPA • Drive and execute strategies to increase global sales and brand visibility and brand protection on Amazon Marketplace and potentially other E-Commerce channels. • Create and optimize product listings, ensuring they are continually assessed for SEO improvements (structure, keyword placement, imagery, etc.) and in compliance with Amazon’s guidelines. • Identify opportunities for increased NFPA brand visibility across the Amazon Marketplace and take initiative to work with Creative team and other key stakeholders to move them forward. • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals at Amazon and escalate address issues that arise. • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as page views, buy box percentage, customer reviews, and sales to identify areas of improvement. • Work collaboratively with others in the organization and our external partners to address counterfeit products and all account health announcements and issues that appear on Amazon marketplace. • Collaborate across departments (i.e. marketing, customer support, legal etc.) to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience. • Implement and manage Amazon advertising campaigns: Sponsored Store, Sponsored Products and display advertising campaigns. • Implement and optimize promotions strategies, including bundles and other promotions as may be requested from time to time by the business leader. • Stay informed about industry trends, Amazon policies, and competitor activities to proactively adjust strategies. • Manage inventory levels, forecasting and replenishment to avoid stockouts or overstock situations and to avoid co-mingling of product with other sellers’ product. • Resolve customer issues promptly and wholistically and promote a positive brand image. • Generate and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on sales, buy box percentage, ad performance, takedowns reported through RAV tool, etc. and provide analysis for improvement. • Evaluate additional eCommerce channels, and determine market potential for new distribution channels.
