Mid/Senior Database & Microsoft Server Specialist

Role Description - Manage, install, and configure SQL Server environments, including both on-premises and Azure SQL platforms. - Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, backup/restore strategies). - Analyze and optimize database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and efficient schema design. - Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of backups, monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks. - Implement proactive monitoring using tools such as Azure Monitor, SQL Server Profiler, and Query Store. - Monitor system performance across I/O, CPU, and memory, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system failures. - Contribute to the ongoing development of the global Microsoft server infrastructure by defining upgrade strategies, establishing server policies, and automating server provisioning and deployment processes. Qualifications - 3-5 years of expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later), preferably including Azure SQL technologies. - Experience with Azure Data Services, such as Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance. - Working knowledge of additional database systems, including Oracle and MySQL. - Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell; knowledge of C# or Python is considered an advantage. - Solid understanding of database performance tuning, including query optimization and resource management. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly. - Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments, including server hardening, Group Policy management, and infrastructure automation using tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, and scripting frameworks.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers to evolve data models, support application development, and enable advanced analytics.
