Job Description

Assistant Application Engineer

Element Solutions Inc

• Promote timely response to key Asian customer’s technical requirements, such as high level trouble Shooting, new product launches and finish Joint Development Programs activities with R&D and Project team. • Provide application development and laboratory analysis support for CS business unit in Asia. • Maintains make up and dump schedules for each chemical process installed in the pilot lines. • Work on joint projects with Global R&D for new product /process development as assignment. • Mainly support scale testing and further ME and IC new product application development. • Produce high quality samples to support product and process certification of customers according to business demands. • Translate application know-how from R&D to both internal and external customers. • Provide sampling and high level technical onsite service to key customers. • Complete ME failure analysis of technical issues as both internal and external customer demands. • Finish the assigned projects by team leader and 100% follow GDAC procedure, such as 5S, HSE and related documents.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Graduate or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of chemical products, formulations, and applications
  • Ability to analyze data, diagnose issues, and develop evidence‑based solutions
  • Knowledge of application testing methods, industry standards, and customer processes
  • Awareness of safety, regulatory, and quality requirements in the chemical industry
  • Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to translate technical detail into customer value
  • Strong presentation and technical communication skills
  • Confidence in working with cross‑functional and multicultural teams
  • Problem‑solving orientation and intellectual curiosity
