Role Description Our client is a rapidly scaling company with a global team and a strong presence in the US. As their workforce grows, payroll complexity is increasing — particularly with US-based employees and compliance requirements. They are looking for a Payroll Administrator with hands-on US payroll experience who can ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. This role requires a strong understanding of US labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices. You will play a key role in maintaining operational accuracy and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, while navigating multi-jurisdictional requirements. Working Hours: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM PT (aligned with US business hours) What They Are Looking For You to Own - Payroll Processing & Compliance - Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US employees - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations - Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and tax filings - Handle payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies - Regulatory Knowledge & Accuracy - Stay up to date with US labor laws, tax codes, and compliance requirements - Ensure proper handling of benefits, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements - Support audits and maintain documentation for compliance purposes - Systems & Reporting - Work with payroll systems and tools to ensure efficient processing - Generate payroll reports for finance and leadership teams - Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with HR and Finance teams on employee data, compensation changes, and reporting - Support onboarding/offboarding payroll activities - Act as a point of contact for payroll-related employee inquiries Qualifications - Proven experience in US payroll administration - Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance - Experience processing payroll for US-based employees - High attention to detail and accuracy - Experience with payroll systems and tools - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Clear communication skills when working across teams and time zones - Willingness to work US business hours Nice to Have - Experience supporting multi-state US payroll - Familiarity with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Rippling) - Experience in high-growth or international companies - Basic understanding of accounting or finance processes
