Financial Controller

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and financial administration across two business entities • Handle client invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records • Prepare and organise financial data for accountants and tax compliance purposes • Manage cash flow tracking, forecasting, and financial planning • Prepare regular financial reports and budget forecasts • Ensure financial records remain organised, accurate, and audit-ready • Support ecommerce financial operations including inventory tracking and management • Assist with cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis and forecasting • Monitor operational spending and profitability trends • Support backend ecommerce processes including Shopify administration where required • Assist with duplicate product page management and operational coordination tasks • Work closely with logistics and fulfilment workflows across multiple systems • Manage and reconcile founder-related expenses including AMEX transactions • Organise financial records and supporting documentation for tax purposes • Assist with financial administration and personal expense management • Maintain visibility and organisation across both personal and business finance operations • Support payroll administration for a US-based team • Coordinate with automated US payroll systems and processes • Assist with operational administration related to: - 401k coordination - healthcare and insurance management - maintaining system logins and insurance details through OnePass systems - Ensure payroll and team operational records remain accurate and up to date • Document financial workflows, operational processes, and internal procedures • Build SOPs and process manuals to improve transparency and continuity • Coordinate across multiple operational systems and platforms • Support backend operational systems including logistics and 3PL coordination where needed • Ensure the founder and CEO maintains clear visibility across financial and operational activities • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and reporting efficiency

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Bookkeeper, Finance Operations Manager, or similar mid-senior finance role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
  • Experience using Shopify within an ecommerce environment (essential)
  • Experience managing bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and forecasting independently
  • Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial operations
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong process documentation and SOP creation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems and operational platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and proactive thinking abilities
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • High level of accountability and ownership mindset
