What You'll Do - Lead the design and architecture of backend systems and APIs to support development of customer-facing AI agents. - Take full ownership of complex technical projects from planning to deployment. - Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and marketing experts to create products that help media agencies achieve their goals. - Build and maintain infrastructure for AI/ML model deployment and inference. - Design and build highly scalable systems that handle large volumes of data processing and analysis. - Drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and scalability to support our growing customer base. - Implement security and compliance measures to protect sensitive client data. - Mentor junior engineers and establish backend engineering best practices. - Create and enforce software development standards, including code quality and testing. - Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost-efficient infrastructure strategies. - Communicate project milestones and progress clearly to stakeholders. Qualifications - 5+ years of backend engineering experience with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges. - Experience building and debugging large scale systems and distributed architectures. - Strong experience writing maintainable, testable, production-grade Python code. - Deep understanding of REST APIs, database design, and complex system architectures. - Strong background with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure) and modern DevOps practices. - Understanding of data processing pipelines, data storage solutions, and analytics architectures. - Experience with performance optimization and scalability challenges. - Strong bias to execution coupled with high engineering standards and attention to detail. - Interest in AI and machine learning (experience a plus, but not required). - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
