Senior Solutions Architect

• The Senior Solutions Architect provides advanced technical leadership and strategic solution design across the Professional Services organization. • Responsible for defining and governing architectural standards, leading enterprise-scale solution initiatives, and serving as a top-tier advisor to clients and internal teams. • Engage in complex, multi-technology solution design, provides executive-level consultation, and mentors other architects and engineers. • Lead design of complex, multi-site, multi-domain, or compliance-driven architectures across cloud, security, networking, and infrastructure. • Drive roadmap discussions and contribute to the development of new services and technical offerings. • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on technology direction, risk, and strategy. • Provide architectural oversight during large, enterprise-scale projects and multi-phase transformations. • Collaborate with sales to conduct assessments and provide recommendations for project scope and labor estimates. • Develop comprehensive professional services pricing, statements of work, proposals, and task lists. • Review and improve technical delivery standards, project documentation, and process automation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, computer-related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Advanced certifications strongly preferred (Azure Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCAP/VCIX, etc.).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT solution design, systems engineering, or technical consulting (MSP experience strongly preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of mainstream virtualization technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in mainstream cloud infrastructure.
  • Moderate knowledge in mainstream VDI and remote environments.
  • Extensive experience with PSA and RMM tools common in MSP environments.
  • Strong understanding of managed services operations, SLAs, and recurring revenue models.
  • Moderate experience deploying enterprise networks and remote desktop services (Citrix/Microsoft).
  • Moderate knowledge of SQL, backup/disaster recovery/business continuity.
  • 4+ years of pre-sales/solutions design expertise and technical sales acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description The Solution Architect is accountable for defining and owning the architecture strategy and multi‑year technology roadmap for a specific product. This role leads the development of the product’s conceptual and logical architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives. Acting as the primary architectural authority for the product, the Solution Architect partners closely with product management, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to translate business capabilities into cohesive technology designs. The role provides architectural direction throughout the product lifecycle, guiding solution decisions, governing adherence to standards, and identifying opportunities to modernize platforms, reduce technical debt, and enable future innovation. Key Responsibilities - Architect end-to-end solutions integrating PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, WMS, and analytics platforms. - Design and standardize multi-site manufacturing system architectures. - Lead technical design for MES implementations including TrakSYS and AVEVA MES. - Integrate industrial automation platforms including Rockwell Automation (FactoryTalk suite) and other major OEM systems. - Design architecture involving SCADA platforms such as AVEVA System Platform and related HMI systems. - Develop integration strategies leveraging OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, and message brokers. - Define secure industrial network architectures aligned with the Purdue Model and ISA-95. - Lead data architecture design including historians (e.g., OSIsoft PI System) and enterprise data platforms. - Ensure alignment with OT cybersecurity standards including network segmentation, firewalls, remote access, and zero-trust principles. - Partner with Controls Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Application teams to deliver cohesive solutions. - Provide technical governance and architectural oversight for plant-level initiatives.
