Role Description KITSCH is seeking a Product & Packaging Development Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will own and execute key product and packaging development operations for assigned consumables and related initiatives, ensuring clear supplier communication, accurate documentation, and cross-functional alignment. You will be responsible for driving projects efficiently and compliantly from brief to launch. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced product development environment. Job Responsibilities and Key Result Areas - Supplier & Project Communication - Handle all standard supplier communications within 1 business day via email or Asana, with replies tracked, owners assigned, and due dates maintained. - Alert manager to critical supplier items same day; relay briefs, specs, and next steps to suppliers clearly and completely. - Document key decisions and action items within 24 hours and drive follow-up until closure. - Documentation & Asana Management - Organize, version, and upload PD Drive files within 2 business days of receipt or creation. - Create and update product fact sheets accurately within agreed timelines. - Deliver initial packaging copy drafts on time for manager, marketing, and regulatory review. - Ensure 100% of assigned Asana projects have tasks with owners and due dates; maintain daily replies and follow-through. - Commercial & Costing Support - Keep core consumables trackers updated on schedule: New SKUs ETA, Line List, Master Cost Sheet, Active SKU List, and BOM. - Relay pricing updates and cost negotiations to fillers and factories accurately. - Flag and resolve price discrepancies within 48 hours of identification. - Design Proofing & Artwork Workflow - Proof line sheets, tech packs, and artworks for accuracy and completeness before routing. - Share digital proofs with Design within 24 hours of receipt. - Endorse and route artwork approvals to factories within 1 business day of internal alignment. - Maintain zero launches delayed due to proofing errors attributable to specialist review. - Regulatory & Compliance Support - Request all regulatory documents from factories within 2 business days of formula approval. - Complete compliance checks of final formula and packaging copy against regulatory and retailer requirements before production sign-off. - Escalate risks with clear documentation; maintain zero critical post-production compliance failures from missed checks. - Analysis, Reporting & Consumer Studies - Deliver competitor and cost analyses on time with accurate data for assigned categories. - Complete post-launch analyses within 2 weeks of launch. - Set up consumer studies in Sourcerie and/or community testing platforms within agreed timelines. - Deliver executive summaries within 5 business days of study completion. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in product development, packaging, or a related role within consumer goods, beauty, or personal care. - Strong operational execution skills — you maintain clean documentation, meet deadlines, and close open loops without being chased. - Experience managing supplier communications and coordinating cross-functional workflows across teams. - Familiarity with artwork proofing, tech packs, and packaging approval processes. - Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer product packaging. - Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana. Experience with Google Drive or similar file management systems required. - Experience with consumer research platforms such as Sourcerie is a strong plus. - Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to catch errors before they reach production. - Excellent written communication skills. You send clear, complete, and timely messages to internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborative and humble team player who approaches every task with a how-can-I-help attitude.
